Dentistry continues to be an essential service. For your health and safety, we are adding extra infection control precautions. Here’s what you can expect:
Protocols for bSDC team members
At the start of each workday, all team members will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.
BSDC team members will be wearing upgraded Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
In between patients, we meticulously clean and disinfect rooms, as well as sterilize all instruments.
Changes to the office
Touchless entry at our front entrance.
Plexi-glass barriers in the reception area.
Each patient treatment room is fully-enclosed with the addition of doors and installed with medical-grade, high-efficiency air filtration systems that continuously clean the air.
UV germicidal lights – ultraviolet lights installed in the HVAC system to remove contaminants
What you can expect
If possible, please complete all necessary paperwork online prior to your arrival. We can assist you over the phone with this.
Patients should call to “check-in” upon arrival or we also have a virtual waiting room for you to check-in via text. Appointments are staggered so that one patient enters the office at a time.
All patients and accompanying family members who enter the office will be screened prior to your appointment and upon entering the office. We will ask you to wear a mask on and use our hand sanitizer when arriving at the office.
Patients will be asked to use a mouthrinse at the start of the appointment to reduce the salivary load of oral microbes.
At BSDC we have always adhered to the strictest level of infection control procedures. Please know that we are taking every precaution we possibly can, as well as following all of the most current recommendations from the RCDSO, ODA, Ontario Ministry of Health, and CDC to ensure the safety of our patients and our team. We remain committed to serving you with the expertise, reliability, and integrity that patients have come to expect from us after 60 years of service.
